Remote desktop connection (up to LSM 3.5 SP1) - LSM 3.5 SP3 Business + Prof.

  1. SmartCD.MP and SmartCD.HF cannot be routed through via the CommNode-Agent. Forwarding takes place directly via the remote desktop connection.
  1. Open the connection settings of the Remote Desktop session.
  2. Click the button remotedesktop-sitzung verbindungseinstellungen: Optionen einblenden [offen] to show options.
  3. Change to the tab Local resources.
  4. Click the button Remotedesktop Einstellungen lokale: Weitere [offen].
  5. Make sure that the checkbox Ports is activated.
  6. Click on the OK button.
  7. Connect to the remote desktop.
  8. Press the Windows key and R at the same time.
  9. The Run window will open.
  10. Enter a CMD in the input field.
  11. Click on the OK button.
  12. The Command prompt window opens.
  13. Unplug SmartCD.MP/SmartCD.HF from the terminal client.
  14. Enter change port /q.
  15. The command displays the output without SmartCD.MP/SmartCD.HF connected.
  16. Reconnect the SmartCD.MP/SmartCD.HF to the terminal client.
  17. Enter change port /q.
  18. The second command displays the output with SmartCD.MP/SmartCD.HF connected. A new port has been added.
    In this case, COM port 8 is the forwarded SmartCD.MP/SmartCD.HF.
  19. Press the Windows key and R at the same time.
  20. The Run window will open.
  21. Enter the path to the LSM user directory:
    %localappdata%\SimonsVoss\LockSysMgr\config\.
  22. Click on the OK button.
  23. Explorer displays the directory of LSM users.

    LSC file for LSM users

    The LSM creates a configuration file (.lsc) for each user who has logged in at least once.

    1. If a configuration file is not yet available for a user, ask the user to log into LSM.
  25. Double-click to open the configuration file.
  26. Add the line [Common] to this file:
    CardReaderPort=<PORT>
  27. Replace <PORT> with the previously Command prompt determined value.
  28. Save the modified configuration file.
  29. If necessary, also add the row for all other users in their configuration files.
  30. If necessary, end the LSM session.
  31. Restart the remote desktop session.
