Information on licence use - LSM 3.5 SP3 Business + Prof.
The standard configuration includes five database licences or simultaneous accesses (also called sessions).
One of these pertains to the database server service itself. The remaining four licences are divided into clients/workstations and services with database access.
Services with database access (e.g. Smart.Surveil, SmartXChange) require one free licence per service for smooth operation with access to the database.
The ADS validation (serial number/validation code) determines the number of simultaneous accesses. LSM also counts the number of clients in the network licensed during registration.
If additional licences are required, licences that are no longer required can be released/deactivated (see Disable and clear registered clients) or additional licences can be purchased (LSM.CLIENT-05).
