Malfunctions due to poor contact or different discharge

Contact surfaces that are too small/contaminated or different discharged batteries can lead to malfunctions.

  1. Only use batteries that are approved by SimonsVoss.
  2. Do not touch the contacts of the new batteries with your hands.
  3. Use clean and grease-free gloves.
  4. Always replace all batteries at the same time.
  1. Special tool at hand.
  2. PH2 screwdriver at hand.
  3. SW4 screwdriver available.
  4. Gloves at hand.
  1. For MO: remove the cylinder cover screws on the inner side (PH2).
  3. For MO: remove the cylinder cover.
  5. For MO: remove the cylinder screws on the inner side (SW4).
  7. For MO: remove the inner cylinder.
  9. For MO: remove the outer cam cylinder.
  11. Insert the special tool into the fitting’s cover inlay.
  13. Remove the cover with the tool.
  17. Carefully bend the battery clip inwards to detach it.
  20. Open the battery holder.
  22. Remove the battery holder.
  24. Remove the old batteries.
  26. Insert the new batteries with the positive terminals next to each other (type CR2450).
  28. Put the battery holder back into place.
  30. Reattach the battery clip.
  32. Replace the cover on the fitting.
  34. Snap the cover back into place.
  36. For MO: reinsert the outer cam cylinder into the fitting.
  38. For MO: screw the inner cylinder and outer cam cylinder together again (SW4).
  40. For FH: screw the cylinder cover firmly into place (PH2; torque: 1.1 Nm).
  1. Batteries are now replaced.
