Preparing the door for BKS (drilling template) - Digital SmartHandle AX

  1. Pin or scriber at hand.
  2. Drilling template available (see Drilling template for variant A4.P11/A4.P1/A4.P2 (Panic bars)).
  3. PH2 screwdriver at hand.
  4. Ruler at hand.
  5. Drill at hand.
  6. Suitable drill bits at hand (Ø6.5 mm and 8.0 mm).
  1. Remove the mortise lock (PH2).
  3. Measure the vertical distance between the centres of the fixing holes.
  5. Fit the mortise lock (PH2).
  7. Insert the spindle into the mortise lock.
  9. Place the drilling template on the spindle.
  11. Align the drill template vertically using the printed scale.
  12. Use the distance you measured previously to determine where the points need to be drilled.
  13. Mark the points to be drilled on the door.
  15. Remove the drilling template.
  17. Remove the spindle.
  19. Remove the mortise lock (PH2).
  21. Drill the required holes.
  23. Fit the mortise lock (PH2).
