Prepare door (drilling template) - SmartHandle AX Advanced

  1. Pin or scriber at hand.
  2. Drill at hand.
  3. Suitable drill bit at hand (Ø 7 mm).
  4. PH2 screwdriver at hand.
  5. For PO (oval escutcheon): Countersink at hand.
  6. For PO (oval escutcheon): Blind rivet nut pliers at hand.
  7. Ruler at hand.
  1. Remove the mortise lock.
  3. Measure the distance (gap between the spindle and cylinder axes of rotation).
  5. Fit the mortise lock.
  7. Insert the spindle into the mortise lock.
  9. Place the drilling template on the spindle.
  11. Align the drill template vertically using the printed scale.
  12. Mark the points to be drilled on the door.
  14. Remove the drilling template and spindle.
  17. Remove the mortise lock.
  19. Drill the required holes.
  21. For PO (oval escutcheon): Countersink the holes with a countersink so that you can then insert the blind rivet nuts into a flush position.
  23. For PO (oval escutcheon): Insert a blind rivet nut on the outer side as shown.
  26. For PO (oval escutcheon): Insert the blind rivet nuts on the inner side.
  28. Fit the mortise lock.
