Activate TLS encryption (SecPort) and client authentication - RouterNode 3
The WaveNet server embedded in RouterNode 3 is supported by the following TLS connections:
- TLS v1.2
- TLS v1.3
- TLS with client authentication
When establishing the TLS connection, the RouterNode 3 uses an embedded self-signed SimonsVoss TLS certificate. If necessary, you may also use your own certificate for connecting to the RouterNode 3.
When you select the item Ein from the drop-down menu SV TLS SecPort, the embedded WaveNet server will only accept connections with TLS encryption. In this case, you must also activate TLS encryption for the connection of your client software (AXM/LSM).
When you select the item Ein in the drop-down menu SV TLS Client Authentication, the clients must also send an authorised client certificate to allow the embedded WaveNet server to accept the connection. In this case, you must also activate TLS client authentication for the connection of your client software (AXM/LSM) and provide a valid client certificate.
