IMPORTANT

Malfunctions due to interference

Sources of interference may impair functional reliability.

  1. Observe the wiring instructions (see Wiring, block diagrams and application examples).
  2. Use shielded twisted-pair cables.
  3. Connect the cable shielding to the earth potential on one side.

Operating voltage not reached

When selecting the power source, keep in mind that voltage drops may occur in live cables, potentially leading to a drop in operating voltage. Malfunctions may occur as a result. You can reduce a voltage drop using the following measures:

  1. Increase the operating voltage on the controller.
  2. Increase the connection cable cross-section.
  3. Equip the reader with its own power supply unit.
