Replacing batteries starting in 03/2026 - SmartHandle AX Advanced SmartIntego
NOTE
Malfunctions due to poor contact or different discharge
Contact surfaces that are too small/contaminated or different discharged batteries can lead to malfunctions.
- Only use batteries that are approved by SimonsVoss.
- Do not touch the contacts of the new batteries with your hands.
- Use clean and grease-free gloves.
- Always replace all batteries at the same time.
- Special tool at hand.
- Gloves at hand.
- Insert the special tool into the cover inlay on the electronics side.

- Use the special tool to carefully bend the cover inlay upwards.

- Slide the cover downwards.

- Cover unlocked.
- Remove the cover.

- Use the special tool to detach the battery module clip.

- Remove the battery module.

- Pull the battery carrier out of the battery module.

- Remove the batteries.

- Insert the new batteries as shown. Slide the batteries into the battery carrier in pairs with the positive poles facing each other.



- Put the battery carrier back into the battery module.
The batteries point towards the nose of the battery module and the spring contacts upwards. 

- Put the battery module back into the module support.

- Use the special tool to reattach the battery module clip.

- SI SmartHandle AX Advanced will beep three times.
- Place the cover on top of the fastening plate.

- Fold down the cover.

- Push the cover against the door, sliding it upwards at the same time.

- Cover snaps into place.
- Press the inlay into place.

- Batteries are now replaced.
