If the host system cannot create version 1.0 or 2.0 XML files, the SmartIntego Host Tool can also be used to do so. However, please note that:

• there is duplicate data storage (locking devices are created and managed in both the host system and the SmartIntego host tool)
• A comparison as to whether the data is consistent may need to be performed manually

The much simpler, more stable option is that the host system is leading. Here, all locking devices should be created once and then transferred to the SIOSS Configuration tool via a compatible XML file.
