Identification medium - SmartIntego OSS
The identification medium is issued to the user after initial programming. It is clearly identifiable in the system and contains its own authorisations. Authorisations can be updated on the identification medium using the card updater. A time stamp is normally used as validation for each identification medium for this purpose. This means that each identification medium receives a time stamp during programming or updating. When this time limit is reached, the medium can no longer use an offline locking device and must be taken to the card updater.
In addition to its own authorisations, an identification medium can also contain information about other, lost identification media. It also receives this information from the card updater.
