Project file - SmartIntego OSS

All data required for the security and basic configuration of offline locking devices and global settings for the offline locking devices are stored in the project file. The project file is secured with an access password (project password).

A separate project with individual passwords should be created for each access control system.

Locking devices are not managed in the project file. The project file receives individual data from the offline locking devices by importing an XML file created by the host system.

NOTE

Secure storage of the project file

It is the project file owner’s responsibility to keep it secure, regulate access to it and protect it against loss.

The project file is stored in the default path for the SIOSSConfiguration tool,

which is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimonsVoss\SIOSS\

This ensures that all the computer’s users have access to the project file.

The project file type is *.iko.

When the project file is opened, a *.lnk file is created in the same folder, which protects the system against double access to the *.iko file. The *.lnk file is deleted again when the SIOSSConfiguration tool is closed normally.

NOTE

Synchronization of XML Files

It is recommended to also synchronize the XML files through the project folder (C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimonsVoss\SIOSS<PROJECT>).
